Chocolate Bhutlah Plant
The Chocolate Bhutlah was created by crossing a chocolate Douglah with a Bhut Jolokia. Outside the controversy surrounding how hot it is (as it’s never been officially tested, but claimed to be hotter than a Carolina Reaper) or where it originated from first, all we know is it’s bloody hot! A not so typical Chinense flavour, with slightly sweet and floral tones before the heat kicks in.

Take the hassle out of germinating seeds
Having a hard time germinating seeds or want to take the hassle out of growing from seed and get a head start come Spring time?
Our seedlings have been germinated by us under controlled conditions earlier on in the year so they’re ready come Spring. They will come with a minimum of 6-8 mature leaves, typically as pictured.
Plants have not been topped, as we leave this up to you. If you are unsure what topping is, please have a look at this video on YouTube.
We’ve germinated seeds from pods we’ve harvested from our own Chocolate Bhutlah mother plants.
Plants come in a 100mm peat pot, which is biodegradable. This means you don’t have to disturb the root system by removing it from the peat pot. Instead you can put the peat pot straight into the ground or into a larger pot, and the roots will continue to grow through the peat as if it wasn’t there.

When purchasing plants or fresh chilli, we offer Australia Post Express or Regular Post services. We ship all parcels just before the post man picks them up to assure your plants and fresh chillies spend the least amount of time in a box.
If for any reason there is a delay in shipping your plants, you will be notified as soon as possible.
Local pick up is available by appointment only from Baulkham Hills, NSW 2153. You will be emailed once your order is processed to arrange a suitable time for pick up.

Chilli plants prefer tropical weather, and typically the best time to plant is in Spring. You will need to determine (based on the climate in your area) when the best time to plant is to avoid damaging or potentially killing the plant if there’s a frost risk.
Our plants require hardening, which means getting them used to the full strength of the sun by increasing their exposure over a 1 week period. Exposing them to full sun straight away may burn the leaves (they turn white and crisp) and stunt growth.
Please be extremely careful when handling chillies from this plant. Anything at or above the Scoville scale of a habanero (300,000 SHU) can cause severe pain if handled incorrectly. Keep out of reach of children. Handle ripe pods with gloves to avoid accidently squeezing the chilli and releasing it’s oils onto your skin. Do not consume on an empty stomach.
